A charming vintage Belgian still-life painting depicting a simple country-style meal, created by the Belgian artist Bernard Van Laere (1917–1985).

Painted in the mid-20th century, this evocative work presents a rustic country table with a traditional copper-colored coffee or tea pot, bread, radishes, a ceramic bowl, and a decorated pitcher. The painting was originally titled in Dutch “De Radijskens” (“The Radishes”), as indicated on the small plaque attached to the lower part of the frame.
