Cats at Breakfast signed and dated

This cute slightly chabby painting is an original oil on wood. A beautiful decorative work of art painted in the year 1940 as mentioned in the lower left corner. The artist signed it at the bottom right, unfortunately, illegible to us. Furthermore, we can deduce that it was painted in Hamburg. So a painting was produced at the time of the existence of East Germany, during the outbreak of the Second World War. The painting already shows several signs of age, but it certainly does not take away from the quality of the beautiful, touching image placed on the panel by the artist. You can notice the condition of the painting as shown in the photo, with several minor cracks due to age and some restoration here and there. When you hang up the work you don’t see anything about the imperfections.
