Flemish school – St Andreas – 18th C. Excellent condition

Original museums quality painting. Painted in oil on canvas which has been laid down on to wood panel. This piece of art depicts Saint Andreas. He was a disciple of John the Baptist.
Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Achaia (St Andrew’s Cross). It’s a scene with gorgeous coloration. The painting is unsigned, but as you can see certainly a work of a highly skilled artist. The condition of the artwork is good. There is no loss of paint. There has been a totally restoration. The painting comes in a wooden frame which is also in a good condition.
